The Senior Cloud Engineer plays a key role in designing, building, and operating resilient cloud infrastructure that enables performance, security, and scalability at enterprise scale. This role partners closely with engineering, security, and platform teams to evolve cloud architecture, automate infrastructure, and ensure high availability across complex environments.
This position is ideal for an experienced cloud professional who combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of reliability, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments.

Architect cloud solutions that support high availability, fault tolerance, and performance at scale.

Lead infrastructure-as-code initiatives using modern automation frameworks.

Collaborate with application and platform teams to support cloud-native architectures and deployments.

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability and proactive issue resolution.

Optimize cloud cost management, performance efficiency, and resource utilization.

Support security best practices including identity management, access controls, and compliance standards.

Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Contribute to architectural reviews, technical standards, and platform roadmaps.

Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across teams.
Job Qualifications and Requirements

8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform roles.

Strong hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent.

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Solid understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems principles.

Experience supporting large-scale, production cloud environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
