The Chief Finance Operations Officer (CFOO) is a senior executive responsible for leading the operational backbone of the finance organization. This role oversees end-to-end financial operations, including transaction processing, controllership support, financial systems, operational reporting, and scalable finance infrastructure. The CFOO ensures that finance execution, controls, and data integrity support enterprise decision-making and long-term strategy.
This role is ideal for an executive who combines deep financial operations expertise with strong leadership, systems thinking, and enterprise-scale execution capability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all enterprise financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Establish and maintain robust finance operating models, workflows, and governance structures.

Oversee core finance operations, including accounting operations, reporting cycles, close processes, and transaction management.

Drive optimization of finance processes, systems, and automation to improve efficiency and control.

Partner with Finance Leadership to ensure alignment between financial operations, strategy, and reporting requirements.

Oversee finance systems, data integrity, and operational analytics that support enterprise visibility.

Lead initiatives focused on cost efficiency, process standardization, and operational resilience.

Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance across financial operations.

Build, mentor, and lead high-performing global finance operations teams.

Provide executive-level insights into financial operational performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Job Qualifications and Requirements

18+ years of progressive experience in financial operations, controllership, or enterprise finance leadership.

Proven experience leading large-scale finance operations in complex, multi-entity environments.

Strong background in financial systems, operational accounting, and enterprise reporting processes.

Experience driving finance transformation, automation, and operating-model redesign.

Deep understanding of internal controls, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced qualification strongly preferred.
