The Director of Public Relations will lead a global communications function, shaping how the organization is perceived by media, analysts, partners, policymakers, and the public. This role carries executive visibility, strategic influence, and the opportunity to define narratives that matter during moments of growth, transformation, and scrutiny.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Global PR Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy aligned with corporate vision, business priorities, and brand positioning.

  • Media & Analyst Relations: Build and manage strong relationships with top-tier global media, industry analysts, and influencers.

  • Corporate Storytelling: Lead development of executive messaging, company narratives, product announcements, and thought-leadership campaigns.

  • Crisis & Issues Management: Own crisis communications planning, response frameworks, and real-time issue management across regions.

  • Executive Visibility: Prepare and position senior executives for media interviews, speaking engagements, and high-profile public appearances.

  • Content & Messaging Governance: Oversee press releases, bylined articles, statements, and external communications for consistency and credibility.

  • Agency Leadership: Manage external PR agencies and partners to ensure performance, alignment, and ROI.

  • Measurement & Insights: Track PR impact, sentiment, share of voice, and reputation metrics to inform strategy and executive reporting.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Strategic Communications, including senior leadership roles.

  • Proven background in technology, AI, digital platforms, or highly regulated/high-visibility industries.

  • Demonstrated success managing global media relations and complex, high-stakes communications.

  • Strong experience supporting C-suite leaders and preparing executives for public and media engagement.

  • Deep understanding of crisis communications, reputation management, and narrative control.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the CEO, executive leadership, and board-level stakeholders.

  • Support corporate strategy, product launches, market expansion, and investor-adjacent communications.

  • Partner with Legal, Policy, Marketing, and HR on sensitive messaging and alignment.

  • Provide communications insight for M&A activity, organizational change, and public policy engagement.

  • Strengthen long-term brand equity through consistent, values-driven communication.


Working Conditions

  • Remote role with periodic travel for executive briefings, media engagements, and key company events.

  • Requires availability across time zones during major announcements or emerging issues.

  • High-visibility role with responsibility for managing confidential and market-sensitive information.

  • Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, responsiveness, and sound decision-making.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $234,000 – $312,000

  • Performance Bonus: Annual incentive tied to communications impact and business outcomes
