The Director of Engineering will shape how engineering teams operate, how systems are designed, and how technology decisions align with long-term business strategy.
This is a highly visible leadership role for a seasoned engineering leader who thrives in complex environments and can balance people leadership, architecture, execution, and cross-functional partnership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership: Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for core platforms, services, and enterprise-grade applications.

Delivery & Execution: Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery through strong planning, prioritization, and engineering management practices.

Technical Oversight: Partner with architects and senior engineers to guide system design, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Organizational Scaling: Design team structures, hiring plans, and career frameworks to support growth and retention of top engineering talent.

Operational Excellence: Establish metrics for engineering health, delivery velocity, quality, and reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams to align execution with strategic objectives.

Risk & Reliability: Support incident management, technical debt prioritization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mentorship & Development: Coach engineering managers and senior engineers, building a strong leadership pipeline.
Job Qualifications and Requirements

12+ years of professional engineering experience, with 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles.

Proven success leading engineering organizations in cloud-based, enterprise-scale, or AI-driven environments.

Strong understanding of modern software architecture, distributed systems, and development best practices.

Experience managing multiple teams and leaders across geographies.

Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Product and business stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $210,000 – $330,000
