As Vice President of Retail, you will be responsible for shaping and executing national and international retail strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and driving innovation across both digital and physical channels. This is a high-visibility executive role reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors, with accountability for growth, profitability, and brand leadership.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Retail Strategy Leadership: Develop and execute multi-channel retail strategies that drive revenue, market share, and customer loyalty.

  • P&L Accountability: Lead financial performance across national and regional retail operations, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

  • Omnichannel Expansion: Oversee integration of brick-and-mortar, e-commerce, and digital platforms into a unified customer experience.

  • Customer Experience: Define and implement customer-first initiatives that enhance satisfaction, engagement, and lifetime value.

  • Operational Excellence: Establish standards for store operations, merchandising, supply chain efficiency, and performance management.

  • Innovation in Retail: Leverage data analytics, AI, and automation to optimize pricing, inventory, and customer engagement strategies.

  • Talent Leadership: Build, inspire, and mentor high-performing retail and field leadership teams across geographies.

  • Executive Communication: Present retail performance metrics, insights, and strategies to the CEO and Board.


Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education and Abilities

  • 18+ years of progressive leadership in retail, consumer goods, or global Fortune 500 organizations, with 7+ years in executive roles.

  • Proven track record in omnichannel retail strategy, operational excellence, and customer engagement.

  • Deep expertise in retail operations, merchandising, supply chain management, and digital commerce.

  • Strong knowledge of data analytics, CRM systems, and retail technology platforms.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence at the CEO and Board level.

  • Experience leading multi-region retail operations in complex, highly competitive markets.


Strategic Support

The Vice President of Retail acts as a strategic partner to the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors, ensuring retail operations fuel corporate growth and long-term competitiveness. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on capital allocation for retail expansion, digital platforms, and supply chain investments.

  • Supporting M&A integration by aligning new acquisitions with existing retail frameworks.

  • Partnering with Marketing and Product to deliver cohesive go-to-market strategies.

  • Driving ESG commitments by embedding sustainable and ethical retail practices into operations.


Working Conditions

  • Remote role with frequent travel to regional offices, flagship stores, and executive leadership summits.

  • Requires flexibility to manage retail operations across multiple time zones and regions.

  • High-visibility executive role with direct accountability for national and international retail performance.

  • Operates in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment requiring resilience, foresight, and strong execution.
