Job Description

About the Role

In modern global enterprises, technology is no longer a support function; it is the primary engine of transformation, scalability, and competitive advantage. We are seeking a Chief Information and Transformation Officer (CIO) to lead enterprise technology strategy while simultaneously owning large-scale business transformation across a complex, multi-region organization.

This role is designed for a C-suite leader who can bridge technology, operations, and strategy, ensuring that digital investments translate into measurable business outcomes. The CIO will oversee enterprise IT, digital platforms, data, cybersecurity alignment, and modernization efforts while also serving as the executive owner of transformation initiatives that reshape operating models, workflows, and organizational performance.

As a trusted partner to the CEO and Board, the CIO will define how the organization evolves, moving from legacy systems and fragmented processes to integrated, AI-enabled, cloud-first capabilities. This leader will ensure technology decisions are grounded in business value, execution discipline, and long-term scalability.

This is not a traditional IT leadership role. It is a mandate to modernize the enterprise, embed transformation into how the organization operates, and ensure technology becomes a sustained driver of growth, efficiency, and resilience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute enterprise-wide technology and transformation strategy aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Lead modernization of core systems, platforms, infrastructure, and data architecture.

  • Own large-scale transformation initiatives, including digital operating models, automation, and AI adoption.

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, COO, and business leaders to align transformation priorities with growth and financial targets.

  • Oversee enterprise IT operations, applications, platforms, and vendor ecosystems.

  • Ensure cybersecurity, data protection, and operational resilience are embedded into transformation initiatives.

  • Drive adoption of modern delivery models, agile practices, and product-oriented execution.

  • Build and lead a high-performing global technology and transformation organization.

  • Present transformation progress, risks, and investment decisions to the Board and executive committees.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience across enterprise IT, digital transformation, or technology-led business change.

  • Proven track record leading large-scale modernization and enterprise transformation initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, data ecosystems, AI enablement, and enterprise architectures.

  • Experience operating at the C-suite level with direct Board exposure.

  • Strong financial acumen, including capital planning, ROI modeling, and portfolio prioritization.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, scale, and organizational change.

  • Experience managing global teams and complex vendor ecosystems.

Personal Capabilities and Qualifications

  • Enterprise-level strategic thinker with strong execution discipline.

  • Credible, confident executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Systems thinker who connects technology decisions to business outcomes.

  • Decisive leader comfortable operating in high-stakes, ambiguous environments.

  • Strong people leader with a focus on talent development and succession.

  • Exceptional communicator capable of translating complexity into clarity.

Strategic Support

  • Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team and a trusted advisor to the CEO.

  • Support long-range corporate strategy, transformation roadmaps, and capital allocation decisions.

  • Partner with business leaders to redesign processes, operating models, and customer experiences.

  • Enable enterprise agility, scalability, and resilience through technology leadership.

  • Support M&A integration, platform consolidation, and enterprise optimization initiatives.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid executive work environment with global scope and accountability.
