Job Description

About the Role

In modern enterprises, the product is the connective tissue between strategy, technology, customer value, and revenue growth. We are seeking a Chief Product Officer (CPO) to define and lead product vision, portfolio strategy, and execution across a complex, global organization delivering mission-critical digital platforms at scale.

This role is designed for a senior executive who understands how to translate enterprise strategy into product-led growth. The CPO will own the end-to-end product lifecycle from vision and investment prioritization through discovery, delivery, launch, and lifecycle optimization, ensuring product decisions drive measurable customer and business outcomes.

As a core member of the executive leadership team, the CPO will partner closely with the CEO, CTO/CIO, Chief Financial & Growth Officer, Sales, and Operations leaders to align product strategy with go-to-market execution, platform modernization, and long-term value creation. You will establish outcome-based product operating models, introduce rigor in prioritization, and embed customer insight and data into every decision.

This is not a roadmap stewardship role. It is a mandate to build a product as a durable, enterprise-grade capability, one that accelerates innovation, improves time-to-market, and sustains competitive advantage across evolving markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute enterprise-wide product vision, strategy, and portfolio investment priorities.

  • Own the full product lifecycle across discovery, delivery, launch, and optimization.

  • Align product strategy with corporate objectives, growth targets, and customer value creation.

  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture leaders to ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality delivery.

  • Establish outcome-driven product operating models, governance, and decision frameworks.

  • Drive customer-centric discovery using qualitative research and quantitative data.

  • Define and track product success metrics tied to adoption, revenue, retention, and satisfaction.

  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global product leadership organization.

  • Communicate product strategy, performance, risks, and trade-offs to executive leadership and the Board.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 15+ years of product leadership experience, including senior executive roles in enterprise or platform businesses.

  • Proven success leading large, complex product portfolios at a global scale.

  • Deep understanding of modern product practices (discovery-led development, outcome-based roadmapping, Agile at scale).

  • Strong experience partnering with Engineering, Design, Data, and Go-to-Market leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to align product strategy with revenue, growth, and financial outcomes.

  • Experience influencing C-suite leaders and operating within highly matrixed organizations.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.

Personal Capabilities and Qualifications

  • Enterprise-level strategic thinker with disciplined execution mindset.

  • Executive presence with credibility at Board and C-suite levels.

  • Customer-obsessed while remaining commercially rigorous.

  • Highly analytical and comfortable making decisions amid ambiguity.

  • Strong people leader who builds accountability, capability, and succession depth.

  • Clear communicator who translates complexity into decisive direction.

Strategic Support

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on product-led growth.

  • Support enterprise digital transformation and platform modernization initiatives.

  • Partner with Finance on product investment governance, ROI tracking, and prioritization.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on the go-to-market strategy and customer adoption.

  • Support M&A evaluation, product portfolio integration, and platform rationalization.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid executive work environment with global collaboration.

  • Regular engagement with executive leadership, Board members, and senior stakeholders.
