As Director of Platform Operations, you will be responsible for leading the global platform operations team, ensuring uptime, scalability, and operational discipline, while shaping strategies that align with corporate growth objectives. This is a high-visibility role with direct engagement across the C-suite and Board.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Global Operations Oversight: Lead day-to-day operations of cloud platforms, enterprise SaaS solutions, and mission-critical infrastructure.

Reliability & Performance: Ensure platforms achieve industry-leading uptime and scalability benchmarks.

Automation & Efficiency: Implement automation and observability tools to streamline deployment and incident response.

Operational Governance: Establish policies, KPIs, and controls to ensure compliance, security, and performance excellence.

Incident & Risk Management: Lead incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Customer Success teams to ensure platform stability.

Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee relationships with global technology providers and negotiate enterprise-level agreements.

Executive Reporting: Provide platform operations insights, performance metrics, and recommendations to CIO, CTO, and Board.
Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education and Abilities

18+ years of progressive leadership in platform operations, IT operations, or cloud infrastructure, with at least 7+ years in senior executive roles.

Proven success in technology, SaaS, or global Fortune 500 organizations.

Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation frameworks, and observability tools.

Strong knowledge of compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO, NIST) and enterprise cybersecurity practices.

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA strongly preferred.

Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence at the executive and Board level.

Experience leading multi-region, global operations teams in highly regulated industries.
Strategic Support
The Director of Platform Operations serves as a strategic partner to the CIO, CTO, and executive leadership team, ensuring platforms are reliable, scalable, and secure. Key contributions include:
