As Senior Head of Technical Operations, you will be responsible for leading global infrastructure operations, building resilience into systems, and ensuring technical execution directly enables corporate growth. This role carries significant visibility with the CIO, CTO, and Board of Directors.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Global Infrastructure Oversight: Lead operations of cloud platforms, data centers, and enterprise-wide IT systems.

  • Reliability & Performance: Ensure 24/7 uptime, disaster recovery readiness, and system scalability.

  • Operational Excellence: Embed ITIL, DevOps, and automation practices across global operations.

  • Technology Integration: Oversee deployment of advanced monitoring, observability, and incident management platforms.

  • Security & Compliance: Partner with InfoSec to ensure alignment with global cybersecurity and compliance standards (ISO, NIST, SOC).

  • Financial Stewardship: Manage large-scale budgets, optimize infrastructure costs, and negotiate vendor contracts.

  • Team Leadership: Build, inspire, and mentor technical operations teams across multiple regions.

  • Executive Engagement: Present operational KPIs, risks, and strategy updates to the CIO, CTO, and Board.

Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education and Abilities

  • 18+ years of progressive leadership in technical operations, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise IT, with at least 7+ years in senior executive roles.

  • Proven success in technology, SaaS, or global Fortune 500 organizations.

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation, observability, and systems reliability.

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, ITIL, and large-scale infrastructure operations.

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional executive presence with demonstrated Board-level communication skills.

  • Experience leading multi-region operations teams in complex, high-demand environments.

Strategic Support

The Senior Head of Technical Operations serves as a strategic advisor to the CIO, CTO, and executive leadership team, ensuring technical operations are a catalyst for scale and resilience. Contributions include:

  • Advising on capital allocation for infrastructure modernization and automation.

  • Supporting M&A integration by aligning acquired technology operations with enterprise standards.

  • Partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure technical platforms meet market and customer demands.

  • Driving ESG by embedding sustainable IT practices into operations and infrastructure.

Working Conditions

  • Remote role with periodic travel to data centers, global offices, and executive summits.

  • Requires flexibility across multiple time zones to support international operations.

  • High-visibility executive role with direct accountability for technical reliability, scale, and cost efficiency.

  • Operates in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment requiring foresight, resilience, and rapid problem-solving.
