Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to design, operate, and evolve the global network backbone that powers mission-critical platforms used by millions of users worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of cloud networking, enterprise-scale infrastructure, automation, and security, supporting a rapidly growing, highly distributed environment.

As a Network Engineer, you will work alongside cloud architects, security leaders, and platform engineering teams to ensure our networks are resilient, scalable, secure, and engineered for performance at global scale. This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a complex, always-on environment where engineering rigor and operational excellence matter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network architectures across on-premises data centers and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Engineer highly available and fault-tolerant network solutions supporting large-scale production workloads.

  • Configure, manage, and optimize routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VLANs, and EVPN.

  • Own network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive optimization initiatives.

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving long-term remediation.

  • Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and zero-trust networking models.

  • Automate network provisioning and configuration using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.

  • Partner with cloud, DevOps, and SRE teams to align network design with application and platform requirements.

  • Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.

  • Participate in change management, peer design reviews, and on-call rotation for critical systems.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise or service-provider network engineering environments.

  • Strong expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and protocols.

  • Proven experience with cloud networking services such as VPC/VNet design, transit gateways, private connectivity, and hybrid networking.

  • Deep understanding of network security principles and secure network design.

  • Experience working with network hardware from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, etc.).

  • Proficiency in network monitoring and observability tools.

  • Hands-on experience with automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.

  • Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, cloud networking certifications) are strongly preferred.

Personal Capabilities and Qualifications

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex, multi-layered technical problems.

  • Clear and confident communicator able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

  • High attention to detail combined with the ability to think strategically at the system level.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-availability environments.

  • Ownership mentality with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.

  • Ability to balance operational stability with continuous improvement and innovation.

Strategic Support

  • Support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives through modern network architecture.

  • Enable cloud adoption, platform scalability, and global expansion efforts.

  • Contribute to long-term infrastructure roadmaps and technology selection decisions.

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong network engineering culture.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based or hybrid work environment, depending on location.

  • Occasional after-hours or on-call support required for critical incidents or planned maintenance.

  • Collaboration with global teams across multiple time zones.

  • Exposure to high-impact, business-critical systems requiring precision and reliability.
