About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Technical Operations to lead and scale the technical infrastructure, platform operations, and global engineering support for a rapidly evolving, high-growth technology organization. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, and operational excellence, responsible for driving performance, reliability, and innovation across enterprise-grade technology platforms.

The VP of Technical Operations will own end-to-end operational accountability for technical systems, DevOps, site reliability, and platform scalability. This is a highly visible role, collaborating closely with the CTO, CEO, and cross-functional executive leaders to ensure operational continuity, risk management, and the delivery of world-class technology services to millions of users globally.

This position is ideal for a strategic, hands-on technology leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, driving operational rigor while enabling innovation and scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead global technical operations, including platform reliability, DevOps, infrastructure management, and technical support teams

  • Define and execute operational strategies that ensure the scalability, availability, and performance of enterprise systems

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across incident management, monitoring, automation, and service delivery

  • Partner with engineering, product, security, and cloud teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions aligned with business goals

  • Establish KPIs, SLAs, and operational dashboards to provide actionable insights and executive reporting

  • Lead crisis response and high-severity incident management with transparency to executive leadership

  • Oversee technical operational budgets, resource planning, and workforce optimization

  • Mentor and develop senior operations leaders, building a high-performing, resilient team

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s or MBA strongly preferred)

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in technical operations, site reliability, or large-scale engineering operations

  • Proven track record leading global, multi-disciplinary technical operations teams at enterprise-scale technology organizations

  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, DevOps practices, and operational excellence frameworks

  • Experience driving operational transformation and implementing scalable technical processes

  • Strong experience collaborating with executive leadership and managing cross-functional stakeholders

  • Hands-on understanding of incident management, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization

  • Positioning technical operations as a strategic advantage, driving business outcomes, and customer satisfaction

Compensation & Benefits

Total Compensation Range: $340,000 – $430,000 USD annually
